In January 2015 Bespoke Boating entered into a partnership agreement with Canal and River Trust to pilot, trial and run a pre-bookable visitor mooring from Rembrandt Gardens on the Grand Canal Junction at Little Venice, Maida Vale, London for a 6 month period. In the first 5 months, with a few tweaks to the booking system, we achieved 100% occupancy and a list of very happy customers.
We are pleased to say that the scheme will carry on with Canal and River Trust managing the bookings and site through the local London waterway team. Contact is still by email and David, Sian and Steph are looking forward to hearing from you.
We are pleased to have had this opportunity to work with Canal and River Trust to pilot the pre-bookable moorings and wish them every success in the future and the current general information is shown below.
Rembrandt Gardens pre-bookable visitor mooring:
The mooring is situated on the east side of Little Venice Pool alongside the Green Flag Rembrandt Gardens, Warwick Avenue, London, W2. https://firstname.lastname@example.org,-0.18243,17z
Access is gained through the gardens during opening hours or through Stone Wharf and under the A40 which is accessible 24 hours. Paddington and Warwick Avenue tube stations are within 5 minutes’ walk giving access to Bakerloo, Central, Circle, District and Hammersmith and City Lines and main line services in and out of Paddington. Please note that the access path is uneven and very narrow in places, please do contact us if you need any further information.
The closest sanitary station is situated through the bridge on the west side of the pool and we strongly recommend you service your craft as you arrive. Coal boats do operate in the area but not on a daily basis and are very busy in the winter so we also recommend you have enough coal, diesel and gas to last you for your stay.
St Marys Hospital at the bottom of the Paddington Arm is the closest A & E department and there is a drop in Health Centre in Paddington Station.
Your craft must be licensed correctly and have a current Boat Safety Certificate for any booking to be honoured and, unfortunately, we cannot facilitate trading craft at this time.
